The Coast

The Basque coast is easy to get to with the huge beaches of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz just 40 minutes away. St Jean de Luz is still active as a fishing port with the colourful fishing boats moored in the harbour, going out in the late afternoon to fish the waters of the Atlantic for tuna and anchovies. Biarritz has a beautiful shoreline with golden sands, crashing waves and the old fishing port. It is a place to promenade, sunbathe or surf.
